Sorry

I'm trying to seriously cut back on computer time, so I'm not going to make sure I BEDA everyday. I 'm not going to completely ignore this blog, but for right now I'm taking a break.

I leave you with my screen-cap tetris rainbow (it's real):

So long.

BEDA 21

this has just made my day infinitaly better:

I have nothing else to say, sorry I'm really tired and I have homework.

Monday, April 20, 2009

oops

the future me link didn't work. that is most definitaly not the website. sorry.

BEDA 20

Today it was hot out. This means summer is coming. That was fast.

I found this really cool website today called FutureMe. Basically you send an email to yourself in the future. I sent one to myself at the beginning of next school year, and also in 10 years. Pretty cool.

I started playing Toontown again, and I took a screenshot of it but this happened...

I just set Mrs. Nerimon as my ringtone. Wow.

I can't stop listening to Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie. I especially like this line:

Cause in my head there's a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
where they're far more suited than here

Wouldn't that be a perfect world? If we could just get rid of our thoughts and send them away on a train? If only...

I also like:

So brown eyes I hold you near
Cause you're the only song I want to hear
A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere

I really like how poetic it sounds, comparing eyes to songs. Because eyes truly are fascinating.

goodbye

BEDA 19

I can't stop watching the new HP trailer! It's just so amazing!

This terrifying! Why isn't this PG-13!

Also, why is Hermione wearing a gryffindor t-shirt? Why would those actually be made???

Draco looks so sinister! I think he's holding the coin he uses to talk to Madam Rosmerta...maybe...

Since I'm already talking about movies, Slumdog Millionaire is amazing. I really liked the music, especially MIA XD.
My favorite scene was definetely when Jamal tries to call his brother, but instead Latika sees him on TV, and races through the crowded streets to answer it, and makes it just in time, completely shocking Jamal. I loved it because it's one of those exciting, gripping movie moments you wait for through the whole movie, but a lot of movies don't give it to you unless it's a thriller. Thrillers are so full of big "OH-MY-GOD-RUN!' moments it's no longer awesome.

BEDA 18

This blog comes to you in 2 parts.

1. I find it extremely annoying when people show off because they don't have a material thing. Like, this counselor at the camp I went to kept bragging about never having a TV in his house. This might make me sound materialistic or superficial, but not having a TV doesn't make you any more of a better person. And when you try to make other people feel bad about themselves just because they have certain things that you CHOOSE not to have just defeats the point.

In my case, I use my laptop WAY more than I watch TV, and, yes, it is one of the biggest parts of my life at the moment, but I don't mind at all. I'm open to advancing technology and I think some people should just accept that it's happening.

2. THE NEW HP TRAILER WAS AMAZING!!!. Last night (or maybe it was the night before), WB released the full length theatrical trailer, and I downloaded it in HD because I'm a nerd ^_^. My sister had finished book 6 literally a few minutes before, so we watched it twice, and then again and paused after every shot figuring out what it is and being generally geeky and excited. Then we listened to live Pottercast :D

I'm going to be perfectly honest. I think it should just be rated PG-13, because this movie is darker and more sinister than all of them yet, and WB is sending a false signal to uniformed parents. I mean, the scene in the trailer with Katie Bell? That's freaky! She lifts way the heck off the ground and is screaming. It looks like something out of a horror movie. Plus, the inferi look like skeletal children, except they're all trying to kill Harry Potter. Tell me that won't scare kids.

I really like seeing Draco, and ecspecially Snape, because he's one of my favorite characters. Also, that's on of my favorite scenes, when he kills Dumbledore at the top of the tower.

Sigh...I miss Harry Potter...

BEDA 17

I'm really sorry about my sister, she isn't the best blogger. Alas, I had no internet on the stupid, stupid camping trip. I'm not going to complain about that, because no one wants to here it.

I feel really dumb now. I just went to go get some soda, and I couldn't open the top. I asked my sister, and it went something like this:

me: open this
her: no
me: yes
her: fine
her: grr, i can't
me: ooh, how about i bang the lid on the table?
her: that's so stupid

After doing so, it proceeded to explode on me. Sad face.

Where I am I going with this...

Tomorrow will be better because I haven't slept in 48 or so hours. Thank you 28 degree tent. Sha.

BEDA 15: 'Ello...

OK. Hello. I'm her sister, obviously.... Today she had to wake up at 6:30 for school (which is a first) so she was extremely cranky. Plus, the fact that she had to go camping also added crankiness... Anyways, she told me just to say whatever I want, so here it goes:

First, I'm still on spring break :) so I have nothing to do except finish HP6...
Second, I am looking at her giant mush of photos n' stuff on the wall in front of me in her room...
Third, I'm still in my pajamas and I have been watching TV all morning...and
Fourth, I'm getting bored so...goodbye.

BEDA 14

Arrg! Tomorrow I'm leaving for a three-day school trip/torture, which I'm dreading. My younger sister is going to do BEDA for me and stuff, but let me just complain anyway:

-All of my friends are guys, which means sharing a tent with girls I'm not exactly friends with who all have little groups and such is exceedingly awkward. And there are three other people in my tent. That is a lot.

-We have to have all the lights off at 9:00 pm, so, no reading, and I know I can't fall asleep that early. Great.

-The food is really weird, because besides being disgusting, it has some strange magical power to make you completely un-hungry after taking one bite. So, after three days, I'll come home yelling FRAPPACHINO!!!!! Just you wait...

I could go on for a while, but what good would that do. Sorry for the complaining.

BEDA 12

Today I:

-Woke up to my sister watching Fred on iCarly. Sigh...

-Finally tuned my ukulele and learned a few chords. It has taken me very long to do this. I can play a few songs now :DDDD

-Went to an Easter party at a friends house. We had an egg hunt, just like the good-old days. I miss the good-old days. Also, I got a couple malt egg candy thingys, which are, arguably, one of the best things in the world.

-Found a link from Littleradge's twitter to the new Dr Who online. I immediately sent a @ reply thank you, because I was very glad.

-Watched said Dr Who, which was so good. I miss that show sosososo much. The beginning was slow, and a bit un-original, but by the end I was extremely pleased. I even found myself hoping (out loud) that this new Christina character stayed as the new companion, but, alas...

-Copied charlieissocoollike's blog format for BEDA.

Whew. There, BEDA pwned for today.

SCHOOL TOMORROW! I have missed it. >_<

I'm sorry but I can't say much in this post because I'm reallreally tired and I just got back from family-time stuff.

Dr who Easter special came out today and I'm ticked off because I can't see it until my friend burns me a disk. However, I won't see him until monday, and then he won't be able to get it to me until Wednesday or so. Which is bad because that's the day my school leaves for this crap trip. Ugghhh, I'm not even going to bothe complainin about that yet. I hope I find dr who on the interwebz...

BEDA 10

5 things on my mind right now:

1. italktosnakes
2. the stupidity of wii music
3. omegle
4. the fact that there are no sharpened pencils on my desk, even though I have about 15
5. the unclean state of my favorite shoes

Hmm..that's a lot weirder now that I've written it down...

Can just expand on number two? Wii music is FAIL.

The point is to "play" "music", but you can make no errors, and play whatever the freak you want, and it will automatically play the song. And when I say "play", I literally mean wave the wiimote up and down, no further skill required. Seriously, Nintendo?
Were you not the ones who graced us with Super Smash Brothers Brawl??!?!?!

BEDA 9

Hellooooooooooooo

I feel very family-ish today, because my aunt and uncle and cousin and grandparents are here for passover, even though we aren't religious. Well, maybe they are, but I certainly am not. They're all being grownups now and talking about boring stuff. Yawn. I hope we watch Slumdog Millionare in a bit.

My friend and my sister and her friend all made a movie today, which I am editing now ^_^

It's a slightly modern (slightly retarded) portrayal of the classic 'Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar' scenario. I quite like how it's turning out. I probably won't put it on youtube though, so, tough kumquats.

I was browsing through some reallyreallyreally old pictures (like REAL pictures, not on the computer) earlier. I found this picture...

It's me and my three best friends when we were about 6, at least I think (I'm pointing to me). When I found it, it made me smile, but it also made me kind of sad, because they aren't really my close friends anymore:(

Anyway, enough nostalgia.

BEDA: Day 7?

I'm writing this on my iPod touch...that's kind of surreal. I bet apple never would of thought they would accomplish something like this xD. I know a lot of times, when I really want some fancy toy, I end up never using it. But I use this so much it's ridiculous.

3. Brickbreaker

BEDA: 6

I wasn't really sure about what to say in this post, so I asked my mom for a random topic, and she said I could talk about new bands or songs I've found. I like this idea.

First off, I got a few songs from the DFTBA Records compilation CD, because I'm a youtube nerd, and I really liked them, even though I heard most of them before on the tubes. I really likedTom Milsom, who's song Porpyrophobia was on the mix. I googled porphyrophobia to find that it meant "fear of the color purple". hahahaha.

Another band (actually it's one person) I like is Nickasaur. It's kinda more in the electronic/pop genre, but still good. My favorite song of his is called Xoxo, and I also like how a lot of the songs have sort of video game-type remix things at the end. It has a really retro sound.

I know my blogs are shorter than most, but, bleh. I can't be bothered.

BEDA: Day 5

UGGGHHHH!

Knowing was awful. The only enjoyable part was when the Earth blew up, because the effects were cool. Other than that it was overly traumatic, violent and annoying. sigh. I'll be sticking to comedies for a while.

I don't really have much else to say, beacuse I'm really tired. BAI

BEDA: Day 4

Hello!

Today I went to the beach for the first time this year, and my best friend and I always make a big deal about the first wave we catch, so that was fun. The problem was that it is April, so the water is REALLY FREAKING COLD!!! Literally, my hands were numb.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Knowing, which I've heard was really bad, but, whatever. Nicholas Cage is such a bad actor. It's almost like he has one facial expression.

My desktop, for no apparent reason:

Well, that's it for today. Bye.

Oh, and a lot of blogs I read have random amounts that they keep track of at the end of their blogs, so, here:

Snippet

Here is a snippet from the story I'm writing:

I woke up smiling. A small beam of morning sunlight shone through the hole in my bedroom curtain. The spot of light landed just below my eye on my pillow. This was sometimes my favorite time of the day. I wasn't fully awake, and yet I was already looking forward to the day ahead of me. Today was special. I kept my eyes shut tight, hoping not to ruin it.
BEEP BEEP BEEP. The battered alarm clock shook and fell off the table. I rolled out of bed and opened the curtain all the way. The spot of light disappeared in a sea of brightness. I couldn't stop smiling.

BEDA: Day 3

Hello

A while ago, when i was in 3rd or 4th grade, there was basically a spectrum of cool and uncool things to do. In the middle was to watch TV non-stop, and not do anything interesting with your life. Way over to the "cool" end, there were sports. Soccer. Baseball. Basketball. Anything that involved competitive physical activity was dubbed "cool".

And then there was the other end. This end was where I was. This end consisted of things like Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Toontown, and finally Neopets.

There was a large chunk of those years where my friends and I were ADDICTED to Neopets. My friends were always much better than me at it, with billions of Neopoints and level 300 pets, but this didn't really bother me. I wasn't the kind of person who would get obsessed over something, unlike now xD. Anyway, I liked it when they would tell me about some super secret Jelly-World or game that was so great it wasn't in the main arcade.

So, since I was bored this morning, I made a new Neopets account to find that they CHANGED ALMOST EVERYTHING! It's so sad that when some stupid toy comes along, everything has to copy it. So naturally, since the Webkinz phase was clearly affective, Neopets just HAD to copy it with their new "Neo-Cash", which you have to buy in stores (like Webkinz) and "Neo-Homes", which look just like the houses in Webkinz.

It's just so...ahh. Why? Why do great games have to change???

On a positive note, my favorite game, Hannah and the Pirate Caves, has stayed the same...so...yay!

BEDA: Day 2

Today is awesome because achieved my lifelong goal of having a photo-wall in my room.! Woot!!!! So, here's a parade of photos!

I had a lot of fun putting it up while listening to The Beatles. Also, today is good because italktosnakes's BEDA post today made me smile a lot.

BEDA: Day 1

So there's this thing this month started by Maureen Johnson, called Blog Every Day April, in which you, obviously, blog everyday of April. I'm going to try and do it.

Today I don't really have much to say because I just got back from a trip and spent the whole day doing absolutely nothing. I found this website, though, called Omegle. It randomly selects a stranger on the site to whom yoou can anonymously chat. It's cool.

So that's it I think, I'm really excited for tomorrow because all the pictures from my trip will be developed, and I can add them to my photo-wall.
